1 About This Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy applies to Posttools, operated by Xero Smart Enterprises.
It should be read together with our Privacy Policy , which provides more information about how Posttools handles personal data.
This policy explains the use of cookies, browser storage and similar technologies on the Posttools website and Franchise Management Portal.
2 What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small pieces of information that a website may store through your web browser.
Cookies can serve different purposes, including maintaining a session, remembering settings, improving security, measuring website usage or supporting third-party services.
Not every type of browser storage is a cookie. Modern websites and web applications may also use technologies such as:
- Session storage
- Local storage
- Server-side sessions
- Temporary authentication tokens
- Other browser-based storage mechanisms
This policy uses the term "browser technologies" where appropriate to cover these related mechanisms.
3 Technologies Currently Used by Posttools
The Posttools Franchise Management Portal currently uses browser-based storage where necessary to provide core application functionality.
| Technology | Purpose | Current Status |
|---|---|---|
| Session Storage | Authentication, session management and essential application functionality. | Used |
| Essential Cookies | May be used where technically necessary for website, security or server-side functionality. | As necessary |
| Analytics Cookies | Behavioural or traffic analytics. | Not currently used by Posttools |
| Advertising Cookies | Advertising profiles, retargeting or behavioural advertising. | Not currently used by Posttools |
| Meta Pixel | Advertising measurement and behavioural tracking. | Not currently used |
| Google Analytics | Website traffic and behavioural analytics. | Not currently used |
4 Session Storage and Authentication
The Posttools Franchise Management Portal uses browser session storage as part of its authentication and session management system.
This storage may contain information required to maintain an authenticated application session, such as authentication-related tokens or associated session information.
Session storage is generally scoped to the relevant browser tab or browser session and is different from a traditional persistent advertising cookie.
Posttools uses this technology to support functions such as:
- Maintaining authenticated access
- Allowing protected Franchise Portal pages to communicate with authenticated APIs
- Managing access-token and session functionality
- Maintaining security during an active user session
- Signing the user out when authentication is no longer valid
Authentication-related browser storage is considered necessary for the Franchise Portal to provide secure logged-in functionality. Blocking or deleting essential browser storage may prevent the portal from functioning correctly.
5 Strictly Necessary Technologies
Certain browser technologies may be necessary for Posttools to provide requested functionality.
These may be used for purposes such as:
- User authentication
- Session management
- Account security
- Fraud and abuse prevention
- Maintaining application state during a session
- Processing a user-requested transaction or function
- Protecting forms, APIs and application functionality
Because these technologies support requested and essential application functions, disabling them may prevent some or all parts of Posttools from working correctly.
6 Analytics and Advertising Technologies
Posttools currently does not use:
- Google Analytics
- Meta Pixel
- Advertising retargeting pixels
- Third-party behavioural advertising cookies
- Similar technologies for building advertising profiles of Franchise Portal users
Posttools also does not currently use information collected through the Franchise Portal for third-party behavioural advertising.
There is currently no Posttools cookie banner asking users to accept analytics or advertising cookies because Posttools does not currently deploy those non-essential tracking technologies.
If Posttools introduces analytics, advertising or other non-essential tracking technologies in the future, we will review the applicable notice and consent requirements before deployment and update this Cookie Policy where appropriate.
7 Third-Party Services
Posttools uses or may interact with external service providers to provide specific functions.
These include services such as:
- Razorpay for payment processing
- Fast2SMS for SMS and OTP delivery
- Email service providers
- India Post-related services and APIs
- Website and server infrastructure providers
These third parties may use their own technologies where necessary to provide their services.
Their independent use of cookies or similar technologies is governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
8 Razorpay and Payment Processing
Posttools uses Razorpay for supported subscription and payment processing.
When you initiate or complete a payment, Razorpay may use cookies, browser storage, device information or similar technologies as part of payment processing, security, fraud prevention, authentication or other payment-related functionality.
These technologies are operated by Razorpay and are subject to Razorpay's own privacy and cookie practices.
You can review Razorpay's Privacy Policy for more information about its handling of information.
Posttools does not use Razorpay payment functionality for unrelated behavioural advertising.
9 Managing Cookies and Browser Storage
Most modern browsers provide controls for viewing, deleting or blocking cookies and other website data.
Depending on your browser, you may be able to:
- View stored cookies and website data
- Delete stored website data
- Block some or all cookies
- Clear browser storage when the browser is closed
- Control third-party cookie behaviour
Browser controls differ depending on the browser, operating system and device.
Deleting or blocking essential Posttools authentication/session storage may sign you out or prevent protected Franchise Portal functionality from working. You may need to sign in again after clearing browser data.
10 Browser Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers provide a "Do Not Track" or similar privacy preference.
Posttools currently does not use behavioural advertising trackers such as Meta Pixel or similar advertising technologies within the Franchise Portal.
Browser privacy controls may nevertheless affect third-party websites or services according to the practices of those providers.
11 Relationship With Our Privacy Policy
Browser technologies may sometimes involve the processing of information that is personal data.
Information about how Posttools collects, uses, shares, retains and protects personal data is provided in our Privacy Policy .
This Cookie Policy supplements the Privacy Policy by providing additional information specifically about cookies, browser storage and similar technologies.
12 Changes to Our Use of Cookies and Tracking
Posttools may introduce, remove or change browser technologies as the service evolves.
If we introduce technologies such as non-essential analytics, advertising trackers or materially different tracking technologies, we will review the applicable privacy and consent requirements before deployment.
Where required, this may include providing additional notice, obtaining consent or providing controls to manage non-essential technologies.
This Cookie Policy will be updated when material changes to our practices require an update.
13 Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when our technology, services, service providers or applicable requirements change.
The updated version will display a revised Last Updated date.
Users are encouraged to review this policy periodically.
